Need to start running this division... These driver's/team's have no where to race on friday's !!!! The fan's would get to see some very close hard racing. Just ask the fan's that get to watch weekly at the two saturday night track's.

Let see Lancaster averages: 12-13 Crate Sportsman a week and I-77 averages: 12-13 Crate Sportsman a week and you know some of the Cherokee boys might come and give them a run for there money to. I say pay bout $500 or $600 to win have bout 18 cars weekly and some pull double duty in other divisons to so that about a extra 25 or 26 cars a week. Fans would love it cause i done seen some of the best racing in this class this year at Lancaster and I-77 Speedway. Just something to give it a thought about this is a very good and up and coming class heard alot of drivers next year are moving up to this class.

Car's are the same... But no mixed motor's 602's only... That's why the racing is so close... With motor's being the same it make's driver's drive !!!! And cut's a lot of cost out of racing. And with the economy the way it is this should be a no brainer for track's to run this division !!! Great racing and cost's less ???

If they add crates sportsman next year then I will be in the stands every Friday then. Or maybe they could let yall run with renegades. Lancaster had a test session with Purestreet and Crate Sportsman and they were dean on.

At lancaster and I-77, by far the most exciting racing there is all night.

The class is by far the cheapest class to run. NO maintence on motors. The racing is super close.
I see how the legends cars and owm was a bust and now super street has a very small car count. How bout it Clint? take another gamble but you can take this one to the bank, this is one decision you wouldnt regret |

I would be out too......IMHO.....don't need another division so close to the one you have (super streets and renegade)....the super street class is unique in that it is sort of a throw back to steel bodied cars from years past w/ racing engines and enough modifications to set them apart from the renegades.....the renegade class covers the issue of a low cost engine in a very competitive and high car count field (32 cars for the last race?) tracks have to be careful in consideration of a class.....like a stock 4, mod 4 and a super 4 (all 4 cyl) classes(I think Cherokee had all 3 of these at one time long ago).....it extends the show well past the desired time for fans.
I also believe the diversity of classes is a good thing for fans....having the 4 cyl, rengades, superstocks, OW/legends and then a LM class is a complete night of racing w/ cars of variying power, driver ability, appearence, and how they race and where they race (preferred groove) on the track that Carolina has just about the right formula for. In my opinion. |

$3000 is all im going to say. you cant build WINNING renegade or street stock motor for that!! if building car and need motor $3000 head to City Chevrolet !! if blow one up $3000 head to City Chevrolet and race next nite !! dont have to wait on parts and freaking engine builders !! wonder how many cars are sitiing right now cause cant affort to build street stock/super street/ltd sportsman motors?? alot of guys that use to race these type classes will not run renegade because of the to be nice inexperienced drivers in that class and cant afford to build street stock motor!! in todays economy its a great class!! it will keep growing !!
